As a competent Street Lighting Operative, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks comprehensively to completion, safely and efficiently:
- Installing columns / posts (Street Lighting Equipment)
- Installing isolators / cutouts and lanterns.
- Testing Equipment.
- Carrying out Surveys.
- Cable pulling /works
- Working from MEWPs.
- General Maintenance Tasks
- Ensuring timely, Budget-Friendly Installations.
- Documenting and Resolving On-Site Issues.
About You / Skills:
- Comfortable with outdoor (Varying Weather Conditions), physically demanding work
- Experienced in electrical systems /wiring
- Experienced in using street lighting equipment / power tools / Cat Scanner
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Communication skills for working in a Team Environment
- Problem-solving skills
- Time management skills for meeting project deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments and tasks
- Excellent communicator / IT Literate
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

- Willing to undergo relevant Training
Essential Qualifications:
- CSCS / ECS cards.
- Full UK driving licence
Not Essential but Preferred Qualifications:
- Street work IPAF and G39
- City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent
- Inspection and testing certification
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 6.30am to 5pm (Weekend Working on occasion will be required)
Rate of Pay
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (3-month Probationary period)
Hourly Rate: From £13.50
Pension
Holidays 21 per annum plus Bank Holidays
