Job Description:
Enfys Foundation is currently seeking a compassionate, personable, and empathetic individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver and Retail Sales Associate. This dual-role position involves delivering exceptional customer service whilst delivering and in our retail shops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service daily.
- Greet and direct customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information regarding available products and services.
- Resolve customer complaints with empathy and efficiency.
- Retail Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting the right products
- Take and process orders using our computer system.
- Check out customers efficiently using our computer system.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the store.
- Manage stock control and keep track of inventory.
- Delivery and Logistics:
- Deliver furniture across South Wales, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
- Manage and navigate our in-house booking system.
- Assist with collections and deliveries of furniture, house clearances, and stock transfers from our warehouse to our shops.
- Always be mindful and respectful of customers’ homes and property.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding customers’ identities and personal situations.
- Preferred experience driving a van for deliveries.
- Team Collaboration:
- Lead and supervise volunteers, ensuring they are well-supported and informed.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members, volunteers, and customers via phone, email, and texting.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Integrate quickly within the team, contributing positively to the work environment.
- Maintain a level head and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role.
- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional environment for both customers and team members.
- Empathy towards vulnerable customers and ability to deal with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, including with the Chief Executive, service providers, and clients we support and serve.
- Excellent knowledge of English language preferred, but not required.
