Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Reach Forklift Truck Driver to join a well-established and reputable manufacturing client based in the Llantrisant area.
This is a temporary contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles in line with company procedures.
- Accurately identify, verify, and record incoming deliveries.
- Move stock to designated storage areas and production locations.
- Record all physical stock movements within the factory ERP system, ensuring accurate stock control and investigating discrepancies where necessary.
- Operate pallet handling equipment including reach trucks, pallet trucks, and pallet wrapping machinery.
- Adhere to all health & safety and housekeeping standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Carry out manual handling duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good general standard of education.
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Good awareness of quality standards and processes.
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work rotating shifts.
- IT literate with experience of stock control or ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently using initiative.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Valid RTITB Reach Forklift Truck licence.
- Experience using Sage X3 ERP system.
- Knowledge and experience of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Rate of Pay:
- AM/PM – £15.73
- Nights – £17.47
Working Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating shift pattern (mornings and afternoons, with occasional nights)
