This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QHSE professional to lead site-wide quality, health, safety and environmental initiatives within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates clarity by translating quality and safety standards into clear site-level QHSE plans and procedures.
- Owns qualification integrity, ensuring certifications, approvals and compliance requirements remain current.
- Leads the site’s HSE programme, including risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and REACH/PFAS compliance.
- Drives continuous improvement using audit, incident and non-conformance data to identify and address root causes.
- Builds a positive safety and quality culture, encouraging employees to raise concerns and take ownership.
- Builds effective partnerships to align site practices with Group standards and audit requirements.
- Manages change-of-control qualification risk, including required notifications to certifying bodies and OEM customers.
- Ensures operational control of quality systems, calibration, document control and training records.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in a quality and/or HSE leadership role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Nadcap, AS9100 and ISO 13485/EU MDR, or a proven ability to learn multiple qualification regimes quickly.
- Experience managing external audits with certifying bodies, OEM customers or notified bodies.
- Strong root cause analysis, investigation and corrective action skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence operational teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing quality and safety priorities.
Desirable:
- Lead auditor qualification (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 or Nadcap).
- Experience managing a change-of-control qualification transfer, e.g. following M&A or site consolidation.
- NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) health and safety qualification.
- Knowledge of REACH and PFAS regulatory requirements.
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days
