Well done and congratulations to Megan Edwards, JGR Training, who recently raced and completed Ironman Wales 2026, in Tenby!

Ironman Wales is a gruelling event, that sees competitors arrive in Tenby from all over the world to take part. The race itself consists of a 3.8km swim in the sea, 180km bike ride, finishing with a 42.2km run.

Megan said “I have trained for probably 12 months to take part in Ironman Wales 2026. It is an incredible event and the best possible atmosphere! The crowds are amazing and the sportsmanship and support between all of the entrants is unique. I am thrilled to have been part of it and I am over the moon to have crossed that finish line and got my medal!”
Megan will take a short time away from her swimming, bike and running training to recover, before starting back in a few weeks’ time.

When asked if she plans on entering any future Ironman events, Megan said “I do have some events in 2027, and I will also be going to Chattanooga at the end of next year for an Ironman 70.3 race, so will need to train for that. I have lots to look forward to, but I will definitely need to take a little bit of time and recover from Ironman Wales in Tenby!”
Hayley Robinson, JGR Group Director, said “Well done Megan. You have trained hard before and after work to get yourself ready for that event. Great job. Well done!”
