Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components, ensuring strong and clean welds.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to detailed specifications.
- Fabricate custom metal parts by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using fabrication techniques.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately produce components.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the assembly of finished products or structures as needed, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Skills
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with assembly procedures for metal components.
- Good understanding of safety practices related to welding, fabrication, and working with heavy materials.
