Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for Skilled Production Operators for a Client in the Bridgend area.
Role summary
The role of the Production Operator is to undertake a variety of production activities for which you have been trained or are competent to perform. The Production Operator will work on a variety of products across a number of work centres and may be required to work within different teams to help satisfy forward load demand.
Primary responsibilities include:
* To undertake manufacturing tasks assigned by the Section Leader or Operations Manager.
* Achievement of efficiency targets.
* To record relevant information to ensure lot traceability.
* Correct booking of daily timesheets.
* The role involves Manual Handling duties.
* Keep all working areas clean/tidy and organised.
* Ensure minimum downtime is achieved on all jobs.
* To adhere to set quality standards.
* To adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Essential skills
* Be able to work to a consistently high level of quality, paying attention to detail at all times.
* Have sufficient dexterity to operate a range of machinery and processes to a full extent.
* Have the ability to read and understand manufacturing process instructions and training guides.
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team with good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Capable of undertaking repetitive tasks over long periods of time.
* Basic computer literacy skills.
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Advantageous skills and experience
* Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
* Experience using Production and hand tooling is desirable.
* Experience working to formal instructions such as drawings is highly desirable.
* The ability to learn and retain knowledge is essential.
Hours of work are 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
