Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points is essential.
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Stores Person/Van Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently, managing store supplies, and supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the physical capacity for heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans for daily deliveries and collections, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Assist with stock management within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and organising supplies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Support warehouse tasks such as heavy lifting, stock rotation, and general organisation of storage areas.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Stores duties – packing and prepping orders – processing delivery notes – receiving, offloading and booking in of deliveries either for stock or to tie in with out going deliveries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or stock management is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Physical fitness suitable for manual handling tasks and prolonged periods of driving or standing.
- Experience of operating Fork Lift trucks (Counterbalance, Reach) would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Uniform is provided.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm.
